Origin NYE returns to Claremont Showgrounds for its’ eleventh year in what is set to be their biggest party to date, and Perth’s largest music festival in the calendar year. Why: Coming back for its third year following two sold out spectacles, THIS THAT has cemented itself as a leader in cutting edge festival concepts, style and swagger. The festival returns this summer with its’ most stacked lineup to date, including Alison Wonderland, Carmada, Golden Vessel and Tash Sultana! Of course, it wouldn’t be THIS THAT without its’ next level festival cuisine, paired with curated cocktails, small batch breweries and whimsical wineries!

Why: Supporting Australian live music acts, VANFEST will once again bring to the Central West a phenomenal lineup from indie folk, rock, pop, house classics, and a touch of local talent. Ali Barter, Carmada, Dune Rays, Tash Sultana and San Cisco are only some of the artists who will join this year’s massive party.

Why: Lost Paradise is a microcosm of love, friendship, fun and community! Placed in an amazing setting within a valley on ancient land known to local Indigenous elders as ‘Paradise Lost’, it showcases a brilliant music, secret hideaways and glittering late night discos. This year’s line up is massive, featuring Rufus, Matt Gorby, Little Dragon, Meg Mac and many more! This is going to be a feast for the senses.

Why: Beyond The Valley will be returning this New Year’s Eve! A hand-picked selection of quality acts from Australia and across the globe, chosen to resonate as the perfect soundtrack to your New Year’s Eve party. The first line-up announcement for the 4th Beyond The Valley is massive, including Schoolboy Q, The Presets, Matt Corby and Stormzy!

12. LANEWAY

LANEWAY FESTIVAL 2018

Why: St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival is about leading new and revered seminal music. The festival has always been interested in finding what’s fresh and bringing it to unique settings and surrounds to be appreciated by music lovers. In 2018 the festival is welcoming back Mac DeMarco and for the first time Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals. This is going to be BIG.

Why: Listen Out is Australia’s premier dance music event, bringing quality dance music to four spectacular inner city venues across Australia this spring. 14.FIDELITY FESTIVAL

Where: Wellington Square, East Perth (WA)

Why: A brand new festival is heating Perth this year! Wellington Square will come alive with the sounds of music this December when the inaugural Fidelity Festival 2017 rolls into town. A music, arts and culture experience featuring an eclectic mix of iconic and the best new artists. Alt-J, Cashmere Cat, Future Islands, Noname, The Shins, Warpaint & Ziggy Ramo have already been confirmed for this year’s line-up!
