For the first time ever on Australian shores, the world’s premier hip-hop festival Rolling Loud took up residency at Sydney Showground, bringing with it some of the biggest and best names in the scene.

Founders Zingler and Cherif quoted in a recent statement; “Rap music is the most popular and fastest growing genre of music and the world deserves to experience curated lineups of its biggest stars and hottest raw talent,” and biggest stars they delivered. Selling out their entire pre-sale allocation in under an hour, Rolling Loud was destined to be a sell out from the start, especially with names like Future, YG, Tyga and Smokepurpp topping off an impressive bill of homegrown and International talent.

Another hot Sydney Summer’s day drew huge crowds to the sold out festival, undeniable proof that Australia was more than ready to host the world’s biggest Hip-Hop event. Internationally renowned for their world-class light and stage shows, Rolling Loud’s Aussie premiere did not disappoint, showcasing an impressive display of fire, smoke, lasers and light; a true feast for the eyes, and of course the ears. With an impressive turnout of Hip-Hop fans travelling from all corners of the country, it’s safe to say Rolling Loud has struck a chord with its Sydney revellers, perhaps even breaking a new record of its own and claiming the title of Australia’s biggest Hip-Hop festival. For that, we will have to wait and see!

There’s no doubt that Rolling Loud will be back year after year after its hugely successful debut over the Australia Day long weekend. We can’t wait to see what the future has in store for these guys, and if these photos are anything to go by, it’s gonna be big…
