What’s On In WA

Western Australia, a beautiful part of the world with a magical coastline, world-famous wines, surf breaks galore and home to one of the oldest known living cultures on earth. There’s so many reasons why you should explore Australia’s largest state, and whilst you’re at it check out a few upcoming events (we strongly recommend).

Taking over Sunday at Sola Festival, Booka Shade is one of many artists making an appearance at Perth’s boutique three day festival, promising a wide variety of music from all over the globe with their state of the art production. Keep reading this article to unmask another incredible artist taking over Sola Festival, we may or may not have just given you a clue…

Underground Yoga/Silent Disco

Shout out to all you yogi’s out there, this one’s for you!

Spend your Sunday afternoon immersed in an underground experience with the sounds of a silent disco (yep, wireless light up headphones spinning yoga-worthy tunes) accompanying an inspired vinyasa flow practice, along with yin yoga, pranayama and yoga nidra. BUT WAIT, this isn’t just your average yoga space, yes we said underground and by that we mean in a cave. More specifically in the Cabaret Cave, part of the Yanchep National Park just North of Perth. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, this is sure to be a sensory exploration through music and movement in an unforgettable location (plus we heard something about bliss balls and cold pressed juices…)

Nukara Music Festival

This small local festival is the perfect way to get back to your roots and relax amongst beautiful Australian bushland on Nukara Farm in the scenic Chapman Valley. Taking place in a natural amphitheatre setting over three days, the festival attracts local and international blues, folk and roots acts spread across two stages. Come for one day or stay for the weekend, camp with your crew and dance in the dust! This boutique festival is a guaranteed good time. Check it out below!

Habitat Garden Party

Habitat are back with their much loved party and this time bringing with them international house hero Claptone for their Garden Party instalment of Sola Festival. Lose yourself in a sonic realm conducted by the masked man himself, sure to be a magical evening of music and mayhem to keep you on your toes. Weiss, Josh Butler and Dr Packer are also featured on the house heavy lineup providing juicy beats to get you in the mood for some serious merry making. Chuck in a couple of cocktail bars, gourmet food trucks (you had us at woodfired pizza), roving performers, giant board games and market stalls and you have one tasty recipe for a real good time. Yeah, we strongly suggest you snag a ticket to this one!
